Water and Sanitary Sewer System
Water Plant No. 1
A significant portion of the water plant project is complete and operational. This includes new equipment and the control building, installing the new backup generator, and modifications to the pumps. Access road paving, clean up, and other small components of the site work will be completed by December 2025.
Lift Station No. 1
A large portion of the work at Lift Station No. 1 is complete, including the installation of a new pump, a new generator, a new motor control center, and a new flood wall to protect the equipment during high water events. The last major item to be installed is a self-rising flood gate. Estimated completion for Lift Station 1 is December 2025.
Lift Station No. 2
This project was publicly bid in September and awarded on October 1st. Equipment is being procurred and work at the lift station is expected to begin in early 2026. This project will include installing new electrical equipment on an elevated platform and installing new pumps. Project completion is anticipated in fall of 2026.
Drainage and Storm System Project – Stage A
This project is complete. The contractor is currently working on warranty punch list items.
Drainage and Storm System Project – Stage B
Harris County received approvals from the US Army Corps of Engineers for the work within Addicks Reservoir. They anticipate advertising the project in the fall of 2025 and construction to begin in early 2026.
